I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Former Acting Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Kathmandu University, Nepal. I received my Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where my research focused on deep reinforcement learning for multi-period inventory optimization. I also hold a Master’s in Computer Science and Technology from Hunan University, China, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Kathmandu University.

With over 24 years of academic experience, I teach courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, reinforcement learning, data science, and computer programming. My research interests span Applied AI, machine learning, data science, and deep reinforcement learning. I have delivered numerous invited talks internationally, served on technical program committees for IEEE conferences, and contributed extensively to AI education and policy discussions in Nepal.

I have published research in leading journals and conferences and has been awarded multiple research grants, including from the University Grants Commission of Nepal, NAST, and international organizations such as IDRC. I am an executive member of the Nepal Research and Education Network (NREN) and a member of IEEE and the Information Technology Professional Forum.
